Seacroft, Apollo form collaboration for excellence in marine engineering and assurance

Two leading Aberdeen businesses are to collaborate formally to deliver seamless service across the boundaries between engineering and assurance in offshore marine projects.

Seacroft Marine Consultants Limited, which has a 25 year heritage in the Silver City providing assurance services to the marine and offshore sector, will partner with Apollo, a technically-led engineering and project services company founded in 2010. Between them, the two companies employ 120 staff in Aberdeen.

Michael Cowlam (left), technical director at Seacroft Marine Consultants, says: “We have previously partnered informally with Apollo to deliver cross-disciplinary services: this new collaboration enables both companies to offer clients the promise of seamless service on projects spanning marine and subsea engineering, naval architecture, marine survey and marine assurance. The collaboration responds to clear demand from clients for a coordinated cross-disciplinary approach.”

Nigel Robinson (right), marine and renewables managing director at Apollo, adds: “Seacroft are a very well respected marine consultancy and I am excited about this new phase of collaboration between us.  Sound marine assurance comes from the experience of the seafarer and the technical know-how of the offshore engineer, so Apollo and Seacroft make a natural team.  Together we will bring a fresh, independent marine assurance capability to our North Sea customers.”
