Vessel/Installation Collision Mitigation

To manage and mitigate the risk of collisions involving attending vessels, Seacroft has supported numerous clients with fit for purpose processes, including common and consistent procedures, checklists and a competency scheme which can be applied across an operator’s entire portfolio of installations and attending vessels.

Our deliverable is designed to be a cost-effective solution, enabling installation owners to demonstrate to regulators that they have in place suitable and sufficient procedures and processes to reduce collision risk to the ALARP level.

The SafeZone® 500 Training Programme

Our expert knowledge, advice and experience on the subject of vessel collision risk and mitigation has enabled the development of our now well established and well known SafeZone® 500 Programme which includes a significant training element.

It has been adopted by several installation operators in the UK North Sea and overseas – and four operators have successfully relied upon adoption of SafeZone® 500 in submissions to the UK HSE in securing the closure of enforcement notices relating to control of collision risk in the 500m exclusion zone.

SafeZone® 500 was shortlisted for the Offshore Support Journal Safety Award in 2018.
